Psychic Penguin
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
Psychic Penguin is endless-scrolling shooter game about a little brave penguin learning to fly using nothing but his psychic powers and a tin foil hat. It was originaly made in 72 hours for the Solo Development Game Jam 2025. All code, artwork , music and sound is originally produced in the 72 hours with no assistance from generative AI. The font used in-game is open source, taken from Google Fonts. The game was made with pure C and SDL2, and is available to download for Windows and Linux.

Downloading
For Windows, simply download the zip and extract its contents. Then , simply run penguin.exe. It should just work out of the box.
For Linux, you need to install some additional packages. To do this, run the "install.sh" script supplied with the executable. Please note this uses apt to install the packages, so will only work on Debian based distros. Assuming everything works correctly, you can then run the executable as normal.
